To convert cellulosic organics contained in industrial paper sludge into glucose, reaction of pseudo paper sludge composed of cellulose and inorganic compounds (calcium carbonate (CaCO3), talc (Mg3(Si4O10)(OH)2), kaolin (Al2(Si2O5)(OH)4)) under hydrothermal conditions was studied. Significant amounts of glucose (ca. 23%) could be produced from cellulose in the absence of CaCO3 for reaction in water at 523 K and 12 min reaction time. On the other hand, in the presence of CaCO3, most glucose decomposed over all conditions, whereas the addition of talc and kaolin to the mixtures increased the glucose yield to about 30%. For the case of chemical recycle of paper sludge with hydrothermal treatment to obtain d-glucose, it can be concluded that it is preferable to separate the calcium carbonate from the paper sludge before hydrothermal treatment.  相似文献

Fine structure of the Raman D band in single-wall carbon nanotubes (SWNTs) was investigated by heating and laser irradiation. It is shown that the D band is composed of three components at ~ 1313, 1340, and 1355 cm? 1, denoted by D1, D2, and D3, respectively. The D1 and D2 intensities significantly increase with laser irradiation in air and vacuum, respectively. The D3 intensity drastically increases with heating in air. From these results, it is suggested that the fine structure of the D band is attributed to different kinds of defects introduced in SWNTs.  相似文献

A moment method of the log-normal distribution with the smallest size is applied to evaporation by newly introducing correction factors obtained from the error function. In this article, the improved moment method is tested for the evaporation, and is compared with the exact solutions calculated by the CIP semi-Lagrangian (CIP-SL) method. In small particle regime, the size distributions and the time histories of the total number and volume per unit volume are reproduced by the moment method for the evaporation near the smallest size. In large particle regime, however, the differences between the moment and exact solutions are larger with time, after the exact distribution spreads to the smallest size. This new moment solver can reproduce the evaporation near the smallest size even when large time step size is given, and thus is expected to be used for the parameterization of the evaporation of small particles in aerosol-transport model.  相似文献

Lightning electric‐field waveforms related to power line faults in winter have been identified. Most of those waveforms appear to be associated with upward lightning discharges with absolute peak currents of over 100 kA. They are quite different from common return‐stroke waveforms, and the lightning discharges which produce these characteristic waveforms are called GC (Ground to Cloud) flashes. These high‐current lightning discharges are distributed around the coastline in different ways depending on their polarities. The spatial distributions of high‐current lightning discharges around Japan are also investigated. It is revealed that the region of Honshu Island along the coastline of the Sea of Japan belongs to the area in which the density of high‐current lightning flashes is the highest in Japan through the year. © 2009 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. A simple and fast dispersion method that incorporates heating is used to disperse long (more than 10 μm) single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs) with minimal defects. The method enables a dispersed solution of SWCNTs to be produced in less than 10 min in only three steps: (1) addition of the dispersant, (2) heating, and (3) grinding. The dispersion method does not require sonication, which shortens the SWCNTs and can generate surface defects. SWCNT films were prepared from the dispersed solution, and the films exhibited a resistance of 380 Ω/sq at a transparency of 64.8%. This dispersion method can be easily scaled up, making it useful for the preparation of dispersed SWCNTs for commercial and industrial applications.  相似文献

Fast Labelling of Natural Scenes Using Enhanced Knowledge   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
A new technique for labelling natural scenes is proposed. This technique labels disjoint regions on an image of a natural scene on the basis of knowledge about the relationship among objects. The proposed technique consists of three stages: (1) segmentation, (2) initial labelling, and (3) label improvement. One of the most promising previous techniques uses simulated annealing to find the solution, while our technique uses local hill-climbing with enhanced knowledge for speeding up the processing. Local hill-climbing is known to be easy to be captured by a local minimum. We solved this problem by enhancing the knowledge being used as constraints for the search. Our knowledge represents 1-to-n relationships among regions, pair-wise relationships of regions, and relative locations of the regions to the image. In addition, we introduced two region features: an entropy in intensity; and a linearity of contours of each region. The linearity evaluation aims to distinguish artificial objects from natural objects. The validity of the technique is supported by some experiments. These experiments showed that the proposed technique is much faster with the almost same accurate.  相似文献

The motion of conservative 2D thermals on beds with slope angles θ ranging from 5 to 90° is investigated theoretically and experimentally. Using a large number of experimental data, important flow characteristics, including the shape factors, spatial growth rate, propagation speed, and entrainment coefficient, are quantified as functions of bottom slope angles. A thermal model, which includes a resistance term, is developed. It is found semiempirically that resistance coefficients Cd are almost independent of θ and the values of Cd are in the range of 0.4–0.6. Capability of the model is demonstrated by comparing numerical results with theoretical as well as experimental results.  相似文献

In this study, we are interested in the anti-wear properties of zinc dialkyl phosphate additive (ZP) in comparison with ‘classical’ zinc dialkyldithiophosphate (ZDDP). Friction tests were performed on a reciprocating tribometer using both ball-on-flat and cylinder-on-flat configurations under a Hertzian contact pressure of 0.9 GPa. Experiments were carried out as a function of temperature (25 and 100 °C), sliding speed (25, 50 and 100 mm/s) and additives concentrations. Ball wear scar diameters as well as friction coefficient were measured. In order to better understand the anti-wear mechanisms of these additives, friction tests were followed by surface analyses such as AES (Auger Electron Spectroscopy) and XPS (X-Ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy). Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM) observations of the ZDDP and ZP tribofilms were also carried out to visualise the generated layers. The anti-wear capability of ZP molecule is discussed.  相似文献
